Yep, that’s what she’s doing. It’s not a full on, all fours, 1-2, 1-2 crawl, but, it is better than a push-flop. 🙂

Yesterday she was near the window wall where she generally plays with her toys.  I was in the kitchen and I heard her playful sounds getting louder and louder.

I pause my dish washing for a moment to listen more intently.  “she sounds like she’s just around the corner” I think. Then just as that thought runs through my head, the 5 yr old says, “uh, mom…she’s by her bouncey.”

Her bounce is, in fact, just around the corner from where I was.  She had ‘crawled’ all the way across the living room in VERY short time.  She had to have been moving forward, her backwards circles take much longer than that. 🙂

This morning she was in the office floor with the big boys as I was getting myself ready for the day.  I came back to get her and she was going after a speck of something on the floor. Amazing how quickly she can get after a scrap of paper!! And how quickly she perfected that fine pincer grasp. Holy cow! LOL

But anyway…

She had her legs under her, both actually under her, not the one leg just ‘hanging out/going along for the ride’. She was scooting and pulling herself, hardly a plop at all, even at the end.

Yay! Go baby girl, go!

Oh and I have to get Yo to get some video of her showing off her new verbal skills.  She cracks us up!  Maybe we can get the crawl ‘on tape’ too. 🙂
